The supplied A-type cage is suitable for a compact automated layer project. 

Its five-tier configuration measures 2.2 × 2.4 × 2.8 m per set, accommodates 50 cells and houses 200 hens. 

Therefore, 25 sets provide a nominal capacity of 5,000 birds.

Each cell measures 43 × 38 × 38 cm, providing 418 cm² per bird. 

Arrange cage rows parallel to service aisles, integrating automatic feeding, nipple drinking, egg collection belts and manure removal belts.

H-type cages are another option, with supplied configurations accommodating 128–512 birds per set. 

However, building height, service access and local welfare standards must determine cage selection. 

The supplied 418 cm² and 488 cm² allowances are not equivalent to European union enriched-cage requirements.

3. Design Feed Supply, Egg Handling And Manure Management

For 5,000 hens consuming approximately 110 g of feed daily, plan around 550 kg of daily feed delivery and 1,650 kg of storage for 3 days. 

At a 90% laying rate, daily output reaches approximately 4,500 eggs.

Connect external silos to automatic feeding lines, egg belts to grading equipment and manure belts to separate covered storage.
