Broiler rearing cage manage: immunization and clustering at 7 days of age

1. 7-day-old immunization (oil vaccine injection and live vaccine eye and nose drops) is a considerable stress on chickens. If the stress is divided into five levels, the stress caused by immunization can be classified into four levels. Therefore, you can drink vitamins at the age of 6-8 days to reduce stress and increase the target temperature of the chicken house by 1 ℃ at the age of 7 days

2. If you are immunized in the warm season, you can group directly during the immunization. It is recommended to divide into two layers. There are also more personalized bosses who separate the three layers under the age of 7 days. Of course, this division is conducive to the growth of chickens in space and avoids the stress that may be caused by the second clustering, but even in summer, the temperature difference between the lower layer and the middle layer often exceeds 2 ℃. If we can't balance the temperature difference between the lower layers, we should try to spend more time, Group down later

3. Clustering time: the first clustering in summer is 7 days old, and the second clustering should not exceed 18 days old. In colder seasons such as spring, autumn and winter, the first clustering is often between 10-14 days old, and the second clustering is between 19-25 days old. 4. Number of chickens in each cage in the first grouping

The two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages: one is to divide half to the upper layer (or middle layer). This method has the same density of chickens, and the uniformity of chicken flock is higher. The disadvantage is that it is a little tired when dividing the cage twice. The second one is from one third to the upper layer, and the middle one is two thirds. The advantage is that it is convenient for secondary grouping, but the disadvantage is that the layer chicken with high density has small weight and poor uniformity

Our previous experiments have shown that the cage separation method of one-third of the upper layer and two-thirds of the middle layer will cause significant weight differences over 19 days old, and the average weight difference of individual control groups is more than 31 grams

Precautions for cage drinking water immunization

If we choose to vaccinate with drinking water at the age of 7 days, we should pay attention to the following two points

1. If there is a drop in the water line and PVC water conduit is used at the end, the water should be emptied from the end when starting to control the water, so as to control the same thirst of chickens

2. When starting to inject vaccine, all water line valves should be closed, and water should be injected from the far end of the water inlet, and gradually open to the near end of the water inlet. In a row, the upper layer should be opened first, then the middle layer and then the lower layer, so as to ensure that water can be injected into each layer, so as to ensure that chickens can contact the vaccine in a short time as possible

It is also a good way to turn off the light of the chicken house first, and then let the vaccine fill the water line before turning on the light, but pay attention to releasing the gas in the water line

1. Confirm the broilers quantity you want to start: small scale: 500 - 5,000 birds; middle scale: 10,000 -30,000 birds; big scale: more than 50,000 birds 

2. Choose the right broiler rearing cage type: for small and middle scale farm, A type is more economical while H type is more profitable for more than 50,000 birds farm 

3. Choose good ventilation place to do your poultry house construction: for hot area, our poultry farm designer usually suggest side-open type poultry house. For cool area, closed type is better to keep chicks warm when they are small
